{"id":379,"date":"2025-09-23T08:15:55","date_gmt":"2025-09-23T08:15:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/colinsmithkarate.co.za\/?p=379"},"modified":"2026-05-05T09:12:38","modified_gmt":"2026-05-05T14:12:38","slug":"the-quintessential-coward","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/colinsmithkarate.co.za\/?p=379","title":{"rendered":"THE QUINTESSENTIAL COWARD"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>After I published my book <em>Pulling No Punches\u2014Karate Myths and Other Stories<\/em> in 2019, the noxious Malcolm Dorfman described me as \u201ca certain nobody, an individual of tarnished repute\u201d who had written \u201clies and distortions\u201d about him and \u201cmaliciously and hatefully attacked many legendary high-level Japanese and South African karateka and as such has lost all credibility\u201d (Facebook, May 6, 2020). Dorfman has never published a comprehensive, corroborated list of indisputable \u201clies and distortions\u201d on his Facebook shrine for all to see and to put me in my proper karate place. He also has not initiated a defamation action in the Johannesburg High Court or reported me to the Anti-Defamation League when he knew that I was present in Johannesburg right under his nose.<\/p>\n<p>I delivered the eulogy at Norman Robinson\u2019s memorial on August 11, 2025. Dorfman was present in all his obscene, pathetic feculence and likely caught a big surprise when this certain nobody rose to address the gathering. He also attended the coffee and snacks afterward, coming within ten feet of me. Here was the glittering, supremacist, Zionist Jew\u2019s chance to challenge me for writing those lies and distortions. But he didn\u2019t, and I\u2019m entitled to ask why not. It\u2019s too easy to argue that he could not lower himself to the level of a nobody like me and remonstrate at a somber event, or\u2014as he wrote on Facebook\u2014 that \u201cin principle, this is water off a duck\u2019s back\u201d (May 6, 2020). The event didn\u2019t appear that somber\u2014he had no problem participating in photo-ops with other karateka in attendance. He could calmly have asked to chat to me privately about my alleged falsifications. After all, this individual of staggering narcissism and jarring vanity goes into paroxysms if anyone criticizes him. <\/p>\n<p>Any reasonable person who believes someone has defamed them would take the necessary legal action to recover damages for false statements of fact. It\u2019s now too late for Dorfman because of prescription, but in such close proximity to me at Norman Robinson\u2019s memorial, he finally had the opportunity to confront me for allegedly lying about him. True to his immutable character, this karate Donald Trump had not the courage of his convictions.
